  In 1987 after graduating high school in Bakersfield, California, Sergio started in the Glazing trade as a shop laborer cleaning up and assisting the Journeyman glaziers. After his second year as a shop laborer, He jumped at the opportunity to be an apprentice glazier.

  Shortly after completing his training in 1993, He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to further his career on bigger projects. The change provided him with valuable experience and knowledge in the trade, and soon becoming the lead foreman on many projects which included: Luxor, Mandalay Bay, New York New York, Bellagio Tower, Caesars Palace and many more during his long-term career path. While working for one of the 3rd biggest glazing contractors in the nation, He took the position as a field superintendent, then became a chief estimator/project manager working on projects from $5k to $20 million.

  In 2010 he was relocated to Austin, TX, by the same glazing contractor. With over 27 years in the trade, He knew he wanted to venture out on his own, thus S&D Glassworks LLC. was established.
